Danielson Coming to Austin

Danielson is back with a new compilation called Trying Hartz and new uniforms (pictured above). We're excited to be playing with Danielson on November 18th at the Mohawk. Come out early to see us play and then watch a joyful set by Danielson.

John Kelley's "The Balcony"

Former Loxsly member, John Kelley has written and performed a great new album called "The Balcony". It summons Nilsson-esque vocals, dense soundscapes, and Lawrence Welk orchestration. You can buy it here, or at the CD release show this Thursday, November 13th at Club DeVille in Austin. I'll be playing the keyboard in the band The Balcony which is also the title of the album (to be clear).

Best Costumes '08

This year Dusty stole the show with his Colonel Sanders costume. Garrett made an impressive effort as "Janky The One Man Band".

The Bronze Age (RIP?)

This post is long overdue. Awhile back, my good friend Monte orchestrated this band called The Bronze Age. It features current and past Loxsly members: me, Eryk, and John plus Quiet Lovely's John Perkins and Monte Holman. Justin recorded the EP at his studio and it turned out great. While we we're recording, the band's rock vibrations knocked my phone into a cup of coffee. It's medieval! Go here to download it for free.
