'Tomorrow's Fossils' goes copper

The vinyl release of 'Tomorrow's Fossils' was mastered and cut at Abbey Road Studios this week. We chose to have it cut to copper rather than acetate. Here's a picture of one of the master discs from which the records will be printed. With any luck we'll be releasing the vinyl edition later this summer.

Notes From the Past

Cleaning out today, I came across my notebook from year 1 of Loxsly. Some pretty funny stuff in there.

"Battalions" Video

Baeble Music is debuting our new video for "Battalions." The video is directed by Loxsly's very own Garrett Johnston and features a bunch of our closest friends. It was bitter cold that day and they were good sports about having to freeze and run so much. That buried guy needs to workout right?

Tomorrow's Fossils Paperweights

Check out these paperweights Bridget made for Loxsly:

(From her Flickr)

"Paperweights that I hand-made for Loxsly, to be sold as merch for their upcoming album release show and tour.

Preserved in these paperweights are the original slides from the Tomorrow's Fossils album artwork (which were snapped by Matt Genitempo) and little bits of nature from various central Texas sites.

Limited ed!"

On the Radio Today

Loxsly will be on KUT 90.5 (Austin, TX) today at 2:00pm to play songs from the new album. Also, Garrett and I will be on KOOP's Now Playing Austin with Deidre tonight at 6:00pm to talk about the new album and play a few tracks. Tune in.

Van Days

So Loxsly finally has a new van to call home. After a grueling day and a half of traversing Houston and dealing with jump suit wearing over pomade-ed salesmen, we're the proud new owners of a 2004 15 passenger Ford Behemoth. Big enough to carry a band and gear or to hold impromptu soccer matches in, we look forward to more touring and midnight swimming larceny in the near future.
