A Smooth Video

So yesterday we finished up the filming for a loxsly music video Garrett has been working on for quite a while. We spent most of the day in one of the old hangers (stage 4) at Austin studios shooting the last of it. Someone pointed out that Garrett decided to shoot on both one of the coldest days and this time one of the hottest days in Austin. It all looks really good. I can't wait for Garrett to edit it all down. I unfortunately had to leave the shoot a bit early due to car fumes, dragging 170lbs of dead weight for 20 some takes, and all the dirt and dust in the air making it hard for me to breathe. I am still a bit sad we didn't get to hire the bear. But thanks to everyone that helped through out the process!

Also, turns out we are on Billboard.com . You can buy our EP and even get ringtones of the songs. I don't know how we got on there, but it works.

We are playing emo's on Tuesday with Nomo. See you there!

Blue Hole

Every summer I try to take advantage of all the local swimming holes. Krause Springs, Barton Springs, Hamilton Pool and Balmorhea State Park are all great. So is Blue Hole in Wimberly. Last weekend, Bridget took me to Blue Hole for my birthday. It's full of rope swings and jumping spots. The locals there are fearless. The kids are acrobats. Watch this guy and listen for the "yeah baby".

Meet our new drummer.

Peter Frampton

Loxsly is currently planning an East coast tour to correspond with the release of our new EP, Flashlights. Our friends over at Team Clermont are doing our tour press and promotion. As a result, we've sent a large number of CDs out to different people and places. We've got some interesting responses. My favorite is this guy.

Sadly, this is the second time that he has tried to auction our CD on Ebay. The first time he packaged it along with Billy Idol's Charmed Life. Now it is being sold with Peter Frampton's Greatest Hits. Do you feel like I do? (Sorry) Why would someone pay $5 for our EP when they could get our EP + Frampton for a bid of $1.99 or more. Is this viral marketing?
